Services Primary Goals

Heritage Classics strives to accomplish the following goals for every client:
  • Get to know our client, and provide guidance in the restoration process. We want them to be comfortable, and strive to involve them as little or as much as they would like throughout the process.

  • Use professional products that have continuously proven themselves and insure a positive return on their investment

  • Ensure that our clients are not just satisfied but overjoyed at their decision to let us work for them.

"There's nothing more gratifying than seeing the reaction on my clients faces the first time they see the results of a painstaking restoration project" - Mike Sommer - Co-Owner

Expertise & Experience
Throughout the auto restoration process certain procedures and techniques have managed to prove themselves repeatedly. While heavily relying on these proven techniques, we also look forward to exploring new techniques and products to find the best method. To continue our education in this field we work closely with several respected local suppliers and also take advantage of any workshops we can find. We approach all jobs with the attitude, "Do it once and do it right!"

At Heritage Classics, we believe all jobs start with thorough preparation and that preparation is the key to making the final product shine. We truly love vintage autos and believe in treating them as though they are our own. We never settle for anything but the best finished product ensuring the hoods match the fenders, and the fenders align with the doors for example.

Mike Somer has 25+ years of experience with a paint gun, and has been painting autos since lacquer was still the product of choice. His background includes finishing NDSCS' auto collision repair program, and extensive experience in shops in North Dakota and Montana. His first complete restoration project was a 1970 GTO Judge. He continues his education through various clinics, and has attended numerous paint certification courses through Martin Senour, and has relied on their products since 1982.
